Terms of Service
These terms govern authorized adult access to My Assessment Tool.
Adult educator accounts
My Assessment Tool is for educators and other authorized adults. Children must not create accounts, receive credentials, or use the service directly. Account holders confirm that they are at least 18 years old.
School or organization authorization
Before entering identifiable student information, an account holder must have authority from the account holder's school, organization, or the student's parent or legal guardian to use My Assessment Tool and to enter and manage the student information provided. When the operator-reviewed school authorization workflow is enabled for an account or deployment, My Assessment Tool reviews that authorization before enabling student-data changes. The service must be used only for legitimate educational assessment and recordkeeping purposes.
Operator responsibilities
The authorization acknowledgement does not transfer My Assessment Tool's responsibilities as the service operator to a teacher, school, district, or parent. Our collection, use, disclosure, security, access, deletion, and retention practices are described in the Student Data Notice and Privacy Policy. We do not use student information for targeted advertising, sale, unrelated profiling, or another unrelated commercial purpose.
Data minimization and acceptable content
Enter only information reasonably necessary for the educational purpose. A local alias may be used when a full name is unnecessary. Exact birth date may be entered because the application uses it to calculate and display current age. Do not place unrelated medical, disability, family, disciplinary, financial, authentication, or other highly sensitive information in free-form notes.
School review and student rights
Schools and districts should review the service before use and may require a written data-processing or school-official agreement. Authorized users and organizations can review, correct, export, archive, and permanently delete student information. Parent or eligible-student requests may be handled through the school so the requester and applicable record can be verified.
Subscriptions
Teacher accounts may begin with a seven-day evaluation. Continued write access requires an eligible subscription. Subscription cancellation and data deletion are separate actions. Deleting an account does not automatically cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription; users must cancel those subscriptions through the applicable store.
Account security and acceptable use
Do not share credentials, access records outside your authorized account, interfere with security controls, upload unlawful content, or use the service contrary to school policy or applicable law. Report suspected unauthorized access promptly.
Deletion and termination
Archiving keeps a record available for a limited retention period. Permanent student deletion removes the student profile and related assessments and responses. Account deletion removes the account's educational records and profile from the primary database and cannot be undone. Backup copies expire under the schedule in the Privacy Policy.
